HICKORY — Hickory Post 48’s next American Legion baseball games is Thursday night at 7 p.m., facing Maiden Post 240 at Maiden High.
Post 48 is off to a 1-2 start under head coach Cameron Beard, falling 8-5 in nine innings to Cherryville, 8-3 to Randolph County and beating Randolph County 10-2 to complete a doubleheader on Sunday.
Hickory’s home game on Monday night against Maiden was postponed by rain and rescheduled for June 22.
Post 48 has five other games after battling Maiden on Thursday night — against Mocksville at Rich Park on Friday at 7 p.m., Taylorsville on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Alexander Central High, a home doubleheader on Sunday at 4 p.m. against Henderson County and a game at Cherryville on Monday at 7 p.m. at Cherryville High.
