NEWTON — Hickory Post 48 will open its Area IV American Legion baseball schedule with a road game against Maiden on June 12.
Post 48 head coach Allen Sigmon released a 14-game schedule with seven home games.
The regular season ends June 29 followed by four rounds in the playoffs that conclude on July 20-24 with the Area IV championship series.
The home and away series for Hickory include those against Maiden, Burke County and Caldwell County.
Post 48 home games are played at Henkel-Alley Field at the Fairgrounds in Newton.
