MAIDEN – Maiden Post 240 is one game above .500 (5-4) after a win on Sunday and heading into its next game on Wednesday night.
The Salamanders shut out Cleveland County 7-0 on Sunday at Shelby High, snapping a two-game losing streak, and they face Lincoln County on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at East Lincoln High.
Maiden has three more games after that this week — Friday at 7 p.m. against Union County at Wingate University, Saturday at Maiden High at 7 p.m. against Hickory Post 48 and Sunday (7 p.m.) at Maiden against Union County.
The Union County game is a makeup from May 29.
