BALTIMORE – The second outing of a dream waiting to happen was magical for former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey.
Making his second relief appearance since being called to the major leagues by the Baltimore Orioles on Friday, Harvey sparkled again on Tuesday night and gained his first big league victory.
He came on in the eighth inning of a tied game with the Kansas City Royals at Camden Yards and had a 1-2-3 inning in which his fastball reached 99.8 mph several times.
The Orioles won 4-1.
Harvey’s major league debut was Saturday in a loss at Boston, where he pitched a scoreless eighth inning, striking out two.
