ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s women are picked to tie Lincoln Memorial for fifth place this season in South Atlantic Conference (SAC) cross country.
In voting by league head coaches released on Wednesday by the SAC, Queens was tabbed the favorite to win a conference championship. The Royals were also the preseason favorite a year ago, when they won their second straight SAC title.
Queens received 10 first-place votes and is picked ahead of Anderson (S.C.) and Wingate. The Royals return seven All-SAC performers, including Runner of the Year Hannah Wolkenhauer and Freshman of the Year Gillian Kasitz.
The SAC season begins on Aug. 31.
