The Norfolk (Va.) Tides’ game on Friday night at Durham was postponed, and the series resumes on Saturday at 6:35 p.m.
Former Hickory High star Zach Jarrett remains with the Triple-A Tides but former Bandys High pitching ace Hunter Harvey was recalled to the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.
Norfolk last played on Thursday night in a game halted when Durham pitcher Tyler Zombro was struck in the face by a batted ball in the eighth inning. The game was halted and did not resume, and the Tides were later credited with a 12-4 victory in seven innings.
Jarrett batted sixth and started in centerfield on Thursday, going 2-for-3 and driving in three runs. He scored a run, had a triple and is batting .309.
