Zach Jarrett moved up to sixth in the batting order on Sunday, delivering a hit and driving in a run as Bowie (Md.) nipped Reading (Pa.) 13-12 in 10 innings for a sixth straight victory.

Jarrett was the designated hitter for the Baysox (9-2), who are in first place in the Double-A Northeast divisional standings.

Bowie was idle on Monday and travels to Richmond (Va.) to begin a series on Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m.

Richmond shares second place with Eric (Pa.), both 1 1/2 games back of the Baysox.

Jarrett is hitting .289 this season.

Bowie is a farm club of the Baltimore Orioles.

He is the son of NASCAR champion driver Dale Jarrett and in his fourth on-field pro season (there were no minor league games in 2020).
