JARRETT
Zach Jarrett is 3-for-8 through the first three games of a home series against Charlotte.
He went 0-for-2 with a walk and scored a run in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday as the Norfolk (Va.)Tides won 3-1, batting fifth and starting in centerfield.
In the first game Wednesday, won 7-2 by the Knights, Jarrett went 1-for-3 after batting fifth and starting in centerfield.
Charlotte won 1-0 on Tuesday night when Jarrett went 2-for-3, batting ninth in the order and starting in centerfield.
The series continues in Norfolk on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star in college. He is hitting .236 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs this season.
The Tides are 41-62 and in sixth place in the Triple-A East Southeast Division, 26 games back of Durham.

Jarrett has been in Triple-A since a promotion from Double-A Bowie (Md.) on May 19, and he has twice been assigned to the Baltimore Orioles during his career (March 2019 and February 2020).
He was drafted by the Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.
