Zach Jarrett got into Sunday’s game as a pinch-runner for Norfolk (Va.), and Jacksonville (Fla.) completed the series with a 4-3 victory.
Norfolk remains at home to start a six-game series against Charlotte on Tuesday night with a doubleheader.
Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star in college.
The Tides are 40-60 and in sixth place in the Triple-A East Southeast Division, 24 1/2 games back of Durham.
Jarrett has been in Triple-A since a promotion from Double-A Bowie (Md.) on May 19, and he has twice been assigned to the Baltimore Orioles during his career (March 2019 and February 2020).
He was drafted by the Orioles in 2017 and taken in the 28th round.
