The Rebels will finish in third place, tying their best conference finish since 2010 when they were third in the South Piedmont 1A-2A in Tom Sain’s first season as head coach.

West Lincoln’s previous best win total in a season was eight games with an 8-2 record in four straight seasons beginning in 1967 under late head coach Brennan Elliott and an 8-4 record under Sain in 2010.

The Rebels won seven games in 1966 (Elliott), 1971 (Elliott), 1986 (Wes Beam) and 2013 (Sain), and they will advance to the postseason for the seventh time in nine seasons and ninth time overall.

West Lincoln opened in 1962 and did not reach the state playoffs until 2005.
