HARVEY

Excellent update article from The Baltimore Sun on former Bandys High pitching star Hunter Harvey, who will pitch this week in the minor leagues at Aberdeen (Md.) and then is scheduled for three starts in Delmarva (Md.) to complete his season.

The Sun is always on top of the Orioles — and their prospects — with great coverage.

Harvey will have a few months to rest and then go to spring training with the Orioles. He will turn 23 in early December.

He has been pitching a few outings in the Gulf Coast League and is headed into A ball to get in some work, the Sun story said.

Interesting read if you’ve followed the career of Harvey, whose dad (Bryan) spent nearly 10 years in the major leagues and was one of the game’s top relievers, twice making the All-Star Game (once in each league).
