RALEIGH — The opening game of the best-of-3 series for a state 4A softball championship begins on Friday at 5 p.m. at N.C. State, pitting Fayetteville Britt against South Caldwell.
Britt is the East No. 8 seed and 23-5, and South Caldwell is the West No. 2 seed and 28-2.
