The Northwestern Foothills 2A’s top basketball players this season led their teams to conference championships.
In a vote of league head coaches, East Burke’s Brooke Arney was named the Player of the Year in girls and Jeremiah Dye of Draughn was selected as the boys’ top player.
Crystal Barlett, East Burke’s girls’ head coach won Coach of the Year and Lee Swanson, who coached Bunker Hill’s boys to a share of second place with Hibriten, was chosen Coach of the Year.
East Burke won all of its league games for the second straight year in girls and finished 24-6 while Draughn went 10-2 in conference games and finished 21-6 overall.
