CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA), responding to possible inclement weather on Thursday around the state, said Wednesday it has made these changes:
STATE INDIVIDUAL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT: The first day, originally scheduled for Thursday, is delayed until Friday at midday.
The NCHSAA staff is working on a schedule that will still allow the tournament to be completed on Saturday night.
More details and an updated schedule will be released Friday.
STATE PLAYOFF BASKETBALL SEEDINGS: Seedings for the girls’ and boys’ basketball tournaments will be delayed until Sunday. They were originally scheduled to be developed on Saturday.
Conferences are thus allowed to schedule conference tournament finals on Saturday with a new report of eligible teams by midnight on Saturday.
The seeding process will on Sunday at 1 p.m. and finalized brackets are expected out sometime Sunday evening at www.nchsaa.org.
