HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)
Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey was listed as Friday night’s probable starter for Bowie in a game at New Hampshire but scratched from his 10th start by a non-pitching injury (http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/orioles/blog/bs-sp-orioles-harvey-20180609-story.html)
New Hampshire beat the Baysox 4-2, dropping Bowie to 27-30.
Harvey’s last appearance was last Friday when he made his ninth start of the season. He went two innings, gave up five hits and six runs (all earned), walked one and struck out none with Trenton (N.J.) winning 7-2.
Harvey faced 12 batters and threw strikes on 36 of his 59 pitches but gave up a double, triple and two home runs.
He is 1-2 this season with 32 1/3 innings pitched. He’s allowed 36 hits, 20 (all earned), walked eight and struck out 30. His ERA is 5.57.
ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)
Zach Jarrett — who starred in high school at Hickory and in college at Charlotte — plays outfield for the Shorebirds (32-27), who split a doubleheader on Friday night against visiting Hagerstown (Md.).
Jarrett, batting third in the lineup and playing centerfield, went 1-for-4 in the first game, a 4-2 win by Hagerstown in eight innings.
In the second game, won 11-4 by the Shorebirds, Jarrett batted third and played centerfield. He went 3-for-4 with two doubles, scored a run and drove in four runs.
He’s played in 56 games and is batting .289 with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs.
Jarrett will play for the Northern Division in the South Atlantic League (SAL) All-Star Game later this month in Greensboro.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)
Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a left-handed relief pitcher for the Braves (36-24), who fell 8-3 on Friday night to Kannapolis before 2,178.
Deal did not pitch on Friday night.
His most recent appearance was Wednesday night when he came on in relief of Rome starter Huascar Ynoa and pitched the seventh through ninth inning of a 7-1 victory at Asheville.
Deal allowed two hits, one run (earned), threw two wild pitches, walked none and struck out three. He faced 11 batters and threw strikes on 26 of his 35 pitches.
In 12 appearances this season, Deal is 4-0 with an ERA of 1.98 with two saves. He’s thrown 27 1/3 innings, allowed seven runs (six earned), walked seven, hit two batters, issued one intentional walk, and struck out 38.
Deal is 4-0 with a 1.61 ERA in his last 10 outings with two saves, 11 innings pitched, two earned runs allowed, six walks and 32 strikeouts.
