HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey is currently sidelined with a shoulder injury sustained while trying to maneuver away from a foul ball into the dugout on a day he was not pitching.

He played catch on Tuesday for the first time since the injury, the Baltimore Sun reported, but no timetable has been announced re when he might pitch again.

Harvey was scratched from his 10th start (June 8) and remains listed as “active” on the Bowie roster. He is on the Baltimore Orioles’ 40-man roster, so if he were to go on the 60-day disabled list he would be considered on the major league roster during that time.

Harvey is 1-2 with 32 1/3 innings pitched. He’s allowed 36 hits, 20 runs (all earned), walked eight and struck out 30. His ERA is 5.57.

Bowie finished last in the first-half West Division of the Eastern League, 8 ½ games back of division winner Akron (Ohio).

On Saturday night, Bowie won 3-2 in 10 innings over visiting Harrisburg (Pa.) before 5,972 and improved to 38-49 overall.
