CATAWBA – Gracie Arrowood scored the only goal of a Southern District 7 Athletic 2A girls’ soccer match on Tuesday night, leading visiting Maiden to a 1-0 road victory over Bandys.
Elena Propst earned an assist on Arrowood’s goal as the Blue Devils improved to 5-4-0 in the conference. They are in fourth place, a full three games up in the win column over the next teams in the standings.
Maiden posted its third shutout victory in conference play and swept Bandys, winning 5-0 earlier in the season at Maiden.
The Trojans fell to 2-6-0 in the conference.
Bandys has a makeup league match on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at home against East Lincoln, while Maiden meets West Lincoln on Thursday at Maiden at 6:30 p.m.
