HICKORY — Getting nine goals from a trio of players sparked Lenoir-Rhyne University to a 14-4 home women’s lacrosse victory on Saturday over Lincoln Memorial.

The Bears (6-7, 6-0) remained unbeaten in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) as junior attacker Gabby Sousa scored four goals, and sophomore attacker Cathleen Gaffney, junior midfielder Rachel Elmore and sophomore midfielder Michelle Tang each added three goals.

Lincoln Memorial dropped to 6-6 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Playing their Senior Day match, the Bears used a 12-1 run over both halves to gain control. They had an edge in shots taken, 27-20, and ground balls, 15-13.
