MEN’S COLLEGE LACROSSE: Lenoir-Rhyne moves up to 5th in NCAA Division II rankings

PERRY, N.Y. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s men gained a spot in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) NCAA Division II lacrosse national rankings on Wednesday, moving up to No. 5.

The Bears, off to a 5-1 start and preparing to face unbeaten and seventh-ranked Belmont Abbey (5-0) on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Belmont, have been ranked as high as No. 3 this season.

LRU is coming off a 14-12 victory last Friday night at home over Florida Tech.

The Bears are led by junior attacker Joe Buduo, who leads the team in goals scored (19) and total points (26).  Senior goalkeeper Ryan Crompton has an 11.06 goals-against average with 72 saves and has earned the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Defensive Player of the Week award twice this season.

LRU is 28-4 since the beginning of the 2016 season.
