HICKORY — Lenoir-Rhyne University announced its class of 2021 football recruits on Wednesday.
The Bears signed 26 players but none of the players are from the South Fork 2A, Northwestern Foothills 2A or Northwestern 3A-4A, the three conferences in the Greater Hickory area.
LRU currently has a four-game schedule for this season, starting with a March 12 afternoon game (4 p.m.) at Newberry, S.C.
LRU did not play football in 2020 because of COVID-19, and the Bears were 13-1 overall in 2019.
