ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Mike Kellar will join seven other head coaches on Friday for the annual Football Digital Media Day for the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).

Fans and the media can log on to the SAC’s website and ask questions of the coaches and fans can also ask questions via Twitter using hashtag#SACFB.

The preseason session begins at 9:30 a.m. and each of the head coaches, plus SAC Commissioner Patrick Britz, will field questions from media and fans for 15 minutes.

The Bears, 3-8 last season in their first year under Kellar, open the season on Aug 31 at home with a 7 p.m. kickoff against the University of West Alabama.

LRU’s three wins last season were over Tusculum, Carson-Newman and Brevard as it went 3-4 in the SAC and tied Mars Hill and Tusculum for fourth place.

The Bears expect five offensive starters back – led by sophomore running back Nelson Brown of Wicomko High in Salisbury Md. – and they have six on defense.

Newberry, S.C. (10-2, 7-0) is the defending SAC champion.
