NEWTON – Paced by a second place finish by Audra Yarber, the Lenoir-Rhyne University women took second as a team in the school’s invitational cross country meet on Friday at Southside Park.
Wingate won the team title with 31 points and the individual winner, in 18 minutes, 52 seconds on a 5K course, was Clementine Archinard.
Yarber, a junior from Abingdon, Va., finished in 19:01.
LRU’s next competition is Sept. 23 in Swannanoa in the UNC Asheville Invitational.
