ROCK HILL, S.C. – Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Paiton Fair was named Tuesday as the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
A junior from Newton, she finished second in the women’s 800-meter dash at the Appalachian Open with a school-record time of 2:23.85 las Saturday. She was also part of the women’s 1,200-meter relay team that placed first overall with a program-best 2:49.61.
Fair also holds the indoor school record in the women’s 300-meter dash (43.00) and 400-meter dash (58.39), and she is is part of LRU’s program-record 1,600-meter relay squad (4:01.37).
LRU next competes in the Buccaneer Invitational on Feb. 2-3 at East Tennessee State University.
