SWIMMING: Bears’ Queen competing in USA Nationals in Greensboro

Lenoir-Rhyne University swimmer Jacob Queen, a junior from St. Stephens High, began competition on Thursday in the USA Swimming Nationals in Greensboro. In his goal of making the cut for the Olympic trials, he was to compete in time trials on Thursday in the 200-meter individual medley and on Saturday in time trials for the 200-meter breaststroke. He’ll also swim in the 100-meter breaststroke on Friday, where he will need to be in the top 24 to continue competition later that night./LRU PHOTO
