HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey did not pitch Wednesday night as Bowie won 9-6 in 10 innings at Erie.

Harvey is listed as Bowie’s probable starter when it opens a series at home at 6:35 p.m. Thursday against Akron.

Harvey made his third – and longest start – in Bowie’s 2-1 loss at Akron last Friday night.

He is 0-0 with an ERA of 1.08, has given up six hits, one run (earned) with three walks and eight strikeouts.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star for the Shorebirds, who beat visiting Greenville, S.C., 4-3 on Wednesday night.

Jarrett started in left field for the Shorebirds, going 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

He is hitting .326 in 23 games with seven home runs and 14 RBIs, and he’s hitting .308 in his last 10 games with two home runs and four RBIs.

He is eighth in batting average among South Atlantic League hitters, and the seven above him are each hitting at least .333.

Jarrett’s seven homers tie him with Casey Golden of Asheville and Seuly Matias of Lexington (Ky.) for the league lead.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a relief pitcher for the Braves, who fell at home on Wednesday 5-2 to Lakewood, N.J., with Deal pitching the ninth inning.

He allowed one hit, walked none and struck out none.

He has pitched 7 1/3 innings and in four games this season with an ERA of 2.45 with two walks and seven strikeouts. He’s allowed six hits, two runs (both earned).
