WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Hunter Harvey pitched for the first time since late April on Saturday morning, striking out two before lightning suspended the Florida Complex League (FCL) Nationals’ game against the FCL Cardinals.

The scoreless game was stopped after six minutes and did not resume after a delay of an hour at The Ballpark of The Palm Beaches. It will be made up on July 15.

Harvey, a hard-throwing right-handed reliever who starred at Bandys High, is in West Palm Beach on a rehab assignment for the Washington Nationals. He has been sidelined since April 21, first with a forearm strain, and was then placed on the 60-day disabled list with a strained tricep.

He was sent to West Palm Beach (Fla.) earlier in the week.

A 2013  first-round draft pick 0ut of Bandys by the Baltimore Orioles, Harvey has pitched in four games this season for Washington. The Nationals claimed him off waivers from the San Francisco Giants, who picked him up off waivers from the Orioles (he was in spring training with the Giants but did not pitch).

The FCL Nationals are off on Sunday and have these games this week: Monday at FCL Marlins, Marlin at Nationals on Tuesday; off on Wednesday; Mets at Nationals on Thursday; Nationals at Mets on Friday; off next Saturday; doubleheader next Sunday against Astros Orange.
