Raiders will face East No. 1 Greenville Conley in Raleigh next

North Iredell High is headed back to a state 3A championship volleyball match on Saturday.
The top-seeded Raiders repeated as West champion, beating Western Foothills 3A rival Fred T. Foard 3-0 on Tuesday in Olin.
North Iredell meets East No. 1 seed Greenville Rose (28-1) at N.C. State on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the state 3A title.
Rose advanced with a 3-0 home win over East No. 2 Cedar Ridge, the team that beat North Iredell a year ago in the state 3A title match.
On Tuesday night, the Raiders (31-0) won 25-23, 25-10, 25-21 for their fourth victory of the year over Foard. They beat the Tigers 3-0 and 3-1 during the regular season and 3-0 in the conference tournament final.
The set Foard won in the second league match was the only set the Raiders lost to conference competition.
Averie Dale paced Foard (21-8) this time against the Raiders with seven kills, 11 digs, 14 assists and two aces. Laney Craig added seven kills and 15 digs, Maya Beatty added nine kills and 13 digs, Natigan Crutchfield provided 17 digs and Taylor Ramseur had five kills for the Tigers.
Foard entered this postseason in the state’s top 10 for all-time postseason volleyball wins with 78.
North Iredell, in its 29th postseason appearance, is 57-27 with state 3A titles in 2008 (3-0 over Conley) and 2017 (3-2 over Chapel Hill). The Raiders were West champs in 2010, 2011 and 2021 and fell in the state title match.
Conley is in its 40th postseason bid and has more postseason volleyball wins (115-16) than any other school in the state.
