GREENSBORO – Three boys’ soccer stars from the Greater Hickory area are headed to the East-West All-Star game.
West head coach Jay Niessner of Central Academy of Technology Arts (CATA) selected goalkeeper Jon Joplin of Newton-Conover and East Lincoln’s duo of forwards Chase Gilley and Logan Gilley.
The match, pitting the state’s top seniors, is scheduled July 21 at McPherson Stadium in Greensboro.
