CHAPEL HILL – The latest word from the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) regarding developing the eight high school football playoff brackets (1A, 1AA, 2A, 2AA, 3A, 3AA, 4A, 4AA) is listed below.
The brackets continue to use East-West and ADMs (average daily membership) figures are also part of the equation, along with MaxPreps state rankings.
The exact formula used by MaxPreps has not been revealed but involves such factors as strength of schedule.
The NCHSAA’s posting around 2 p.m. today said:

The NCHSAA has discovered it did not use the most up-to-date information to post for seeding purposes. Therefore, the brackets have been taken down and the staff is reseeding.
