BREAKING NEWS: Bandys at North Lincoln game reset for Saturday night

LINCOLNTON – Rainy weather has postponed the Bandys at North Lincoln high school football game that will decide the South Fork 2A championship.

North Lincoln athletic director Mark Lackey said the game – originally scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday night – is now set for kickoff at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

North Lincoln, in its first season under Nick Bazzle as head coach, is 8-2 overall and 6-0 in the South Fork 2A.

Bandys, in its first season under Tom Eanes as head coach, is 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the South Fork 2A.

The Knights have won seven straight games, starting with a non-league victory over Bessemer City and then conference wins over West Lincoln, Lake Norman Charter, East Lincoln, Maiden, Newton-Conover and Lincolnton.

The Trojans have won six straight games, starting the streak after a 28-27 loss at Hickory, and those wins came against Maiden, Newton-Conover, Lincolnton, East Lincoln, West Lincoln and Lake Norman Charter.
