CLAREMONT – Ben Trimm of Fred T. Foard and Bunker Hill’s Caroline Hilliard won individual titles on Tuesday at the Northwestern Foothills 2A high school cross country championships.
Trimm led all boys with a time of 17 minutes, 53.7 seconds on a course at River Bend Middle School, and Hilliard won in 21:23.93.
The East Burke boys and Fred T. Foard girls won the team titles.
The Cavs’ boys had four runners in the top 10, led by third-place Isaac Shuford (18:10.92) and Logan Shuford (18:26.02) finishing fifth.
Patton’s boys, paced by Sage Bonfield’s second-place finish in 18:06.45, finished second in the team race.
In the girls’ meet, Hilliard finished just ahead of Faith Younts of Patton (21:27.15), and Foard’s Karina Coulter (21:53.40) and Chloe Fountain (22:09.32) were third and fourth, respectively, to lead the Tigers to a team title.
