Notes: Freedom wins a conference tournament title for the fifth straight year … Hise was named tournament MVP … Freedom beat Alexander Central for the third time this season, also winning 65-44 in Morganton and 77-46 in Taylorsville … Freedom has now won at least 25 games a dozen times since 1978-79 and goes into the postseason for the 16th straight season and 22nd time in 23 years (missed in 2003-2004, going 16-11 and tying for third in league play) … Watauga will reach the postseason for the fourth straight year, matching its longest run of that since 1978-79.
