force plenty of rescheduled games

HobbsDailyReport.com encourages head coaches or their representatives to report live scores as soon as possible after events are completed. In basketball, report traditional box scores with score by quarters and individual scoring that adds up to team scoring totals (first and last names of all double figure scorers). In volleyball, e-mail each of the match scores and stat leaders with first and last names and any highlights. In cross country, send top 10 finishers with first and last name and which school they run for and final team scores. We’ll publish results/roundups with items we receive, indicating who provided the information, and we’d be glad to publish any photos (with IDs) and credit the person who shot the photo. Regular reporting will enable us to provide timely basketball and volleyball standings.

Several Northwestern Foothills 2A schools have revised or are in the process of revising basketball schedules due to quarantines.
The conference has eight schools andfour of them – Draughn, Hibriten, Patton and West Iredell – have boys’ teams sidelined by COVID-19.
Girls’ teams at Lincolnton (South Fork 2A) and West Caldwell (Northwestern Foothills 2A) have already been sidelined this regular season.
As a result of the newest quarantines, athletic officials at Bunker Hill, Fred T. Foard and West Caldwell on Monday announced schedule changes.
There will be several instances of the varsity girls and varsity boys in the Northwestern Foothills 2A not playing on the same night as schools try to work toward still being able to play all 14 games allowed by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) during the regular season.
HobbsDailyReport.com has updated all schedule changes in the Northwestern Foothills 2A it has received so far. But with the fluidity of COVID outbreaks, fans are advised to contact the home school listed for exact clarity of scheduling.
Northwestern Foothills 2A boys’ varsity games scheduled Tuesday that will not be played are Bunker Hill at Patton, Hibriten at West Iredell and West Caldwell at Draughn. The varsity girls are still scheduled to play Tuesday.
Northwestern Foothills 2A boys’ games off Thursday’s schedule are East Burke at Draughn, Patton at Hibriten and West Iredell at Fred T. Foard, with the varsity girls’ games still schedule, plus a doubleheader, Bunker Hill at West Caldwell.
On Friday, East Burke at Hibriten and West Iredell at Bunker Hill boys’ games are off – both reset for Feb. 5 – and those two’s varsity girls’ games will be played plus Patton at West Caldwell varsity girls.
