Former Bandys star, Lincoln Charter
head coach takes new job in S.C

BLUFFTOWN, S.C. — Bradley Gabriel, one of the top guards in Bandys High basketball history whose 300-plus career coaching wins include at his alma mater, has been named the next varsity boys’ basketball head coach at Bluffton, S.C.
Gabriel, who coached Lincoln Charter to a state 1A boys’ title before retiring there, also has head-coaching stints at South Iredell, North Iredell and Hopewell.
His coaching record of 336-145 from 2013-2021 includes going 197-40 at Lincoln Charter with eight league titles, seven conference tournament titles, six West Regional appearances and playing for two state 1A titles.
Lincoln Charter went 31-3 in 2017 and beat Kesterel Heights are a 1A state title.
Gabriel, inducted into the Lincoln County Sports Hall 0f Fame in 2012, has coached 13 teams to conference championships.
Bluffton’s Bobcats were 7-16 last season and did not qualify for the state playoffs.
