Notes: Bandys will battle top-seeded Newton-Conover the title on Friday at 7 p.m. at Lincolnton … The Trojans’ win locked up the league’s automatic No. 2 state playoff bid, eliminating the possibility of a Friday afternoon game against Lincolnton at Maiden to break that tie (Bandys and Lincolnton shared second place in the regular season and Bandys won a holiday tournament game over the Wolves but those games are used only to break ties for league tourney seedings) … Tadlock also had eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block for East Lincoln … Logan Dutka scored eight points over the final two minutes over overtime for Bandys … The Trojans have won four straight games, their longest win streak of the season … Bandys beat East Lincoln 55-42 at Bandys and East Lincoln won 52-48 at East Lincoln during the season … The Mustangs entered the season with six straight wins over Bandys… Bandys leads the series 48-28 since 1970-71 … The Trojans will play for a conference tourney title for the 34th time since 1960.

Notes: Bunker Hill plays top-seeded East Burke in the tournament final at East Burke on Friday at 6:30 p.m. … The Bears’ win broke the tie for second place between Bunker Hill and Patton, who had split in the regular season — Bunker Hill takes the No. 2 (automatic) bid win or lose on Friday night while Patton will wait to see if it gets into the postseason via an at-large spot … Bunker Hill has won back-to-back games and six of its last seven … The Panthers had a four-game win streak snapped … In the regular season, Patton won 70-50 at home and Bunker Hill won 59-47 at home … Patton is now 35-28 under head coach Autumn Ward … The Bears have now won 70 games under head coach Randy Joines, in his ninth year at The Hill … Bunker Hill last won 20 games in in 2008-2009 (24-6) and has won 20 or more 14 times since 1978-79… Patton’s most wins in school history is 19 in 2012-2013.

Notes: Top-seeded Freedom plays second-seeded Hickory in the tournament title game on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Hickory … Freedom has won 17 straight games … Watauga had a two-game win streak snapped … The Patriots also beat the Pioneers 47-38 in Morganton and 51-40 in Boone this season … Freedom head coach Amber Reddick, in her 15th season, has 330 career wins … The Patriots have won at least 25 games in three of four seasons and 12 times since 1978-79 … Watauga will await to see if it earns a state 3A bid, as Hickory picked up the league’s No. 2 automatic bid by reaching the tournament final (HHS, Watauga and McDowell tied for second place with McDowell in as the league’s No. 1 4A team, leaving Hickory and Watauga still tied) …Had both Watauga and Hickory lost in the semifinals, they would have had to play a special playoff game to determine No. 2 unless they mutually agreed to break the tie by another means; that game was set up to be played Friday at South Caldwell but is now not needed).
