HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Ex-Bandys player takes over as head coach at Davie County

MOCKSVILLE – Bandys High graduate Bradley Rudisill — who also played and later coached for the Trojans — is starting his new job as head varsity baseball coach at Davie County.

To clarify Rudisill’s career at Bandys re the story below: He played four seasons at Bandys (2004-2007), and the Trojans won one conference title, a share of the Midwest 2A crown with East Rutherford in 2005. That was the same year that Bandys, playing at West Henderson in the second round of the state playoffs, lost 12-8 and was eliminated.

In 2004, Bandys went 8-6 in the Midwest 2A and shared third place with West Lincoln.

In 2006, Bandys had the best record among 2A teams in the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A-3A (10-6) and tied Hibriten for third place.

In 2007, Bandys had the best record among 2A teams in the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A-3A (11-5) and finished in fourth behind 3A teams (St. Stephens first, Fred T. Foard and Hickory shared second place).
