GREENSBORO – Emery Biggs of Clayton scored unassisted to open the scoring on Tuesday night, leading the East All-Stars past the West 4-0 in the annual East-West All-Star girls’ soccer match.
The East scored all of its goals in the first half at MacPherson Stadium in Greensboro.
Biggs opened the scoring at the 13:59 mark, knocking in a rebound off the post from about 3 yards, for a 1-0 lead.
At the 24:17 mark, Talia Parrous of Fayetteville Sanford scored unassisted from a straightaway blast of about 25 years.
About 3 ½ minutes later, it was 3-0 after Mackenzie Pruitt of Havelock struck from about 8 yards for an unassisted goal.
Catherine Holbrook of Green Hope scored the final goal, also unassisted, as the East outshot the West 18-9.
The Greater Hickory area had one all-star with Allison Herrera of Hibriten playing for the West.
