Justin Kuthan, a 6-foot-6 senior forward at East Lincoln High, has verbally committed to play college basketball at Roanoke (Va.) College. He averaged 21.5 points and 8.8 rebounds and shot 74 percent as a junior, leading the Mustangs (29-3) to regular season and tournament titles in the South Fork 2A and to the West 2A Regionals. He had four games last season of more than 30 points with a high of 42 against Lincolnton and make all-conference, all-district and as the Gaston Gazette’s Player of the Year.
