BASKETBALL: Denver Nuggets have camps scheduled at East Lincoln

DENVER, N.C. – The Denver Nuggets have scheduled two basketball camps at East Lincoln High, both directed by Chip Ashley, the Nuggets’ director.

A camp for rising second- through sixth-graders and rising seventh- through 10th-graders – boys and girls — is scheduled June 26-29.

The daily sessions for the second- through sixth-graders is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The seventh- through 10th-graders attend from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

A Co-Ed Back to School Camp is set for July 31 through Aug. 3 for rising second- through eighth-graders.

Camp times daily are 8:30 a.m. to noon.

The cost for each camp is $65 if pre-registered and $75 if registering the day a camp begins.

The cost for two camps is $120, and a discount of $10 is available to a family that enrolls two in a camp.

During his career, Ashley has been an instructor at camps at Erskine College, Gardner-Webb, High Point and Winthrop.

“I am excited about the basketball camps at East Lincoln High,” Ashley said in a press release. “The objectives of the camp are quite simple: I want campers to have fun and to improve their fundamental skills in all aspects of basketball.”
