HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)
Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey’s did not pitch in Wednesday night’s 3-2 home victory over Richmond (Va.). His spot in the rotation had projected him as the starter, but two rainouts this week have pushed that start back (TBA).
Harvey made his second start of the season last Friday, going 2 1/3 innings against Akron in a game the Baysox eventually won 5-3. He gave up two hits, no runs, walked two and struck out one and he threw 55 pitches (30 for strikes) and faced 11 batters before a home crowd of 3,288.
Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.08, has given up four hits, one run (earned) with two walks and two strikeouts.
ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)
Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star who starts in the outfield for the Shorebirds.
On Wednesday night, he went 1-for-3 with his sixth home run of the season in a 3-0 home win over Kannapolis. He drove in a first-inning run with a sacrifice fly and his home run came in the eighth inning.
Jarrett is hitting .311 in 17 games with six home runs and 12 RBIs and he’s hitting .324 in his last 10 games. His .311 average has him 12th among South Atlantic League hitters.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)
Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a relief pitcher for the Braves, who swept a doubleheader on Wednesday night at West Virginia, winning 8-3 in 10 innings and 4-3 in seven innings.
Deal did not pitch in either game and his last appearance was April 17 at Asheville. He has pitched five innings and in two games this season with an ERA of 3.60 and one walk versus six strikeouts.
