HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey did not pitch Saturday in Bowie’s 4-3 home victory in 12 innings over Akron.

He made his second start of the season on Friday, going 2 1/3 innings against Akron in a game the Baysox eventually won 5-3. He gave up two hits, no runs, walked two and struck out one and he threw 55 pitches (30 for strikes) and faced 11 batters before a home crowd of 3,288.

Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 2.08, has given up four hits, one run (earned) with two walks and two strikeouts.

His next start is scheduled to be Wednesday at Bowie in an 11:05 a.m. game against Richmond.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

Former Hickory High and Charlotte star Zach Jarrett, an outfielder, did not have a hit in Delmarva’s 5-4 victory in 10 innings at home over Lakewood, N.J., on Saturday night.

He scored the tying run, starting the 10th inning at second base, going to third on a balk and scoring the tying run on a hit by Seamus Curran.

Jarrett is hitting .320 – 12th-best in the South Atlantic League — with five runs and 10 RBIs through 14 games this season.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal, a relief pitcher, did not pitch on Saturday in Rome’s 5-4 home loss against Augusta (Ga.).

He has pitched five innings and in two games this season with an ERA of 3.60 and one walk versus six strikeouts.
