HUNTER HARVEY (Class AA Bowie, Md.)

Former Bandys High star Hunter Harvey did not pitch Monday night when Eric defeated Bowie 6-2 at Erie.

Harvey made his third – and longest start – in Bowie’s 2-1 loss at Akron last Friday night.

Harvey is 0-0 with an ERA of 1.08, has given up six hits, one run (earned) with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Harvey is not listed as Tuesday’s probable starter for Bowie.

ZACH JARRETT (Class A Delmarva, Md.)

Zach Jarrett is a former Hickory High and Charlotte star for the Shorebirds, who were idle on Monday and start a series at home on Tuesday night against Greenville, S.C.

Jarrett is hitting .338 in 21 games with seven home runs and 14 RBIs, and he’s hitting .366 in his last 10 games with three home runs, five RBIs but 15 strikeouts.

He is fifth in batting average among South Atlantic League hitters, and the four above him are each hitting at least .358.

HAYDEN DEAL (Class A Rome, Ga.)

Former Bandys High star Hayden Deal is a relief pitcher for the Braves, who were idle on Monday and start a home series against Lakewood, N.J., on Tuesday night.

Deal has pitched 6 1/3 innings and in three games this season with an ERA of 2.84 with one walk and seven strikeouts. He’s allowed five hits.
