LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Hickory Crawdads’ game on Tuesday night was halted by rain in the second inning with host Lexington (Ky.) leading 1-0.
Emmanuel Rivera led off the bottom of the second inning with his third home run of the season to give the Legends a lead against Hickory starter Kyle Cody.
Hickory had two hits when play was stopped and Rivera’s home run was the only Lexington hit.
The clubs experienced a rain delay of about 70 minutes before the game was called.
The suspended game will be completed on Wednesday in Lexington, Ky., and the teams also will play a regularly scheduled South Atlantic League (SAL) game.
The Crawdads open a homestand on Thursday at L.P. Frans Stadium, facing Asheville.
