HICKORY – The Hickory Crawdads — tied for the South Atlantic League (SAL) Northern Division lead — are home for the next seven days.

A seven-game homestand begins on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. against Asheville at L.P. Frans Stadium, and those teams play at the same time again on Thursday and Friday nights.

On Saturday, Greenville (S.C.) comes to town for four games (7 p.m.) start. Sunday’s game begins at 5 p.m. and games on Monday and Tuesday are at 7 p.m.

Hickory is 14-11 in the second half of the season schedule and Hagerstown (Md.) is 13-10 in what, so far, is a tight Northern Division race. Greensboro (12-11) is in third place, one game back of the Crawdads and Suns, and Delmarva (Md.) is 12-12 (fourth place) and a half-game back of Hagerstown.

Charleston (S.C.) is 17-7 and atop the Southern Division standings.

While the Crawdads are facing Asheville, the Suns are going on the road to begin at series at Charleston, S.C., while Greenville (S.C.) opens a series at Greensboro on Wednesday night.

There were no SAL games scheduled Tuesday.
