The Knoxville (Tenn.) News Sentinel is reporting Hickory native Rick Barnes has decided he will remain head men’s basketball coach at Tennessee rather than pursue an open job at UCLA.
ESPN reported earlier Monday that the Bruins were interested in trying to hire Barnes, who played at Hickory High and Lenoir-Rhyne University.
