LINCOLN, Neb. – The first season for Catawba County native Bobby Lutz as a special assistant at Nebraska was a tough one.

The Cornhuskers finished 7-25 overall, losing their final 17 games, and went 2-18 in the Big Ten.

Indiana beat Nebraska in the opening round of the Big Ten tournament before the NCAA called off the rest of the season due to the coronavirus.

Lutz, a Bandys High graduate who started at point guard for the Trojans, came out of retirement prior to this season to help Fred Hoiberg with the Huskers as a special assistant to the head coach. The two had previously worked together at Iowa State and with the Chicago Bulls’ Windy City team.
