HICKORY – Tying her career high with 23 points, sophomore forward Tanisha Wall led Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) to a 104-72 win on Wednesday night that avenged the Red Hawks’ only conference loss of the season.

Wall added 12 rebounds at the Tarlton Complex, her eighth double-double with the Red Hawks, as they improved to 21-4 overall and 16-1 in Region X by beating Guilford Tech.
Sophomore Shaniya Lester added 21 points for CVCC, her 13th game this season with 20 or more points.
CVCC led 49-33 at halftime and outscored the Titans (17-6, 13-6) 55-39 in the second half.
Sophomores Tory Agrusa (19 points), Nikkyana McCaskill (16 points) and Joyous Wilson (14 points) also reached double figures for the Red Hawks.
J’Nai Millner paced Guilford Tech with 23 points.
CVCC, ranked No. 15 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll, play again Saturday at 1 p.m. in Wilmington against No. 8-ranked Cape Fear Community College.
Cape Fear is in second place in Region X.
