HICKORY — Sports programs at Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC), — including baseball and softball — will continue in 2023-2024, school officials announced Wednesday.
After receiving donations and other financial help, the Red Hawks will not drop any sports.
The school had earlier said it would drop baseball and softball after the current seasons because of budget concerns.
The Red Hawks also field teams in women’s and men’s basketball and in volleyball.
