HICKORY – Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC) opened its women’s volleyball season at home on Tuesday night, beating USC Lancaster 3-0.
No other details from the victory by the Red Hawks, who are ranked No. 4 in the country in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rankings, was available on Tuesday night.
CVCC’s next matches are over the weekend in Perrysburg, Ohio, on Friday and Saturday in the Owens Community College Invitational.
On Friday, the Red Hawks play Parkland (Ohio) at 10 a.m. and they meet Muskegon Community College at 3:15 p.m.
CVCC has two matches on Saturday.
