Allana Stewart (front row, third from left) — a 5-foot-8 guard who played high school basketball for Mountain Island Charter — has signed to play women’s basketball next season at Catawba Valley Community College (CVCC). She averaged 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and two steals in 2016-17 at Mountain Island Charter in Mount Holly. Her prep team won 19 games that season and she originally signed with Belmont Abbey College, playing one season and then sitting out last year.
